We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full-Time Scheduler / HR Assistant to support both workforce scheduling and human resources administration. This role plays a key part in ensuring adequate staffing coverage and accurate pay for our front-line operations. The incumbent will also help maintain staffing levels by supporting the recruitment process, on-boarding activities, HR reporting and staff communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scheduling & Workforce Coordination
- Responsible for developing, updating and maintaining staff schedules across multiple programs and units to ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts and collaborate with supervisors to address staffing / scheduling challenges / planning peak vacation time schedules
2. Recruitment & On-boarding Support
- Participate in all steps of recruitment including attending recruitment fairs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conduct reference checks, and coordinate on-boarding plans.
3. Data Tracking and Payroll Support
- Maintain accurate scheduling and attendance records to complete time sheet
4. Human Resources and Office Administration
- Assist HR with communications, reporting, and staff follow-up.
- Assist in the maintenance of Staff Portal
- Perform other administrative duties and support members of the administrative staff as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Post Secondary Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous experience in scheduling or HR support, preferably in healthcare or shift-based environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfortable working with scheduling/HR software (Shift Link / Humi)
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and keen attention to detail
- Capable of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, resourcefulness and discretion
- Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check

Compensation
$27.99 - $32.93 per hour
